The service is currently limited to
designated Church of Scotland presbytery clerks and archive staff in Scotland,
who are testing the performance of the system. Later in 2008 it will be
extended to more presbytery clerks and archives. The project will eventually
open up access to historical records on a huge scale, by making digital copies
of the records available in a larger number of places in Scotland and
eventually worldwide via the Internet. Read more about our current
